We're back! ... 2 June @ Earshot

Not with a bang but in a quiet way. After a mini hiatus, we'll be dusting off the cobwebs from our guitars and playing a small show at the Arts House this coming Sat (2 Jun) together with Quasimodo, Shamejoannshame and the Ferns! A big thank you to Isman from Fruit Records for giving us the nod. The Ferns are launching their album "On Botany" (which is brilliant!) so if you're free, come on down.

Introducing the newest member!

Hey everyone, the band will be taking some time off over the next few months cos Roy's baby girl just arrived at the turn of the month so he's pretty tied up at the moment changing nappies and being Dad. Congrats dude (and Yvonne)! We're really happy for you guys. Hopefully the lil one will grow up to be a cool drummer just like Dad!

New photos - Esplanade Outdoor Theatre

We would like to say a very big thank you to all our friends who came down to support us on Sat. You guys were amazing. We definitely could not have hoped for a better setting. The weather, the wind, the crowd and the evening skyline - it was hard not to be overwhelmed by the occasion. We had a blast and hopefully you guys did too! New gig - "It's Only Rock n Roll" @ Esplanade

Hey pple, we'll be playing at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre on 3 Feb 07 (Sat). This will be our biggest (not to mention longest) show to date and we have the good peeps at Aging Youth to thank for that (thanks Willy!). We'll be opening for local psychedelic rockers Camra. Admission is free so there's really no reason to miss out!

Upcoming Gig - Stasis 9 @ Playden (the Arts House)

A MajorMinor Thing @ Earshot Cafe

Alive!06 at Youth Park

We performed a short set yesterday without our guitarist (Tong) because the poor guy had to go back to work. It was the first time we were playing as a 3-piece so our songs sounded a bit different. The set list was:

"Dream On"@DXO

We played "Running Away" and "Last Goodbye" tonight. For those of you who went down, hopefully we sounded alright. Kudos to the "Dream On" team who did a fantastic job in putting together the event. We'll try to upload some photos of the gig real soon so watch this space!

Republic Poly - No show

After travelling all the way to Woodlands and waiting for almost 2 and a half hours - we were told that we wouldn't get to play because the organisers had decided to let the RP house band play an extra hour. This meant that all the other bands who had been invited to play at the Jam &  Hop were left high & dry. We just want to say that we were really amazed at the lack of professionalism on the part of the organisers, who did not seem at all apologetic about the situation.

Special mention to Benjamin (and friend) who tried their best to help out and get things going. You guys were great. We really appreciate your efforts.

We did it! It was kinda nervy but Roy and Jo managed (just about) to play an acoustic rendition of 80's Poker Queen live in the studio and also tried their best to answer some questions from Eugene Loh of 93.8LIVE.

"DREAM ON" cd is out

The "DREAM ON" album is available at DXO (beside Esplanade), NYC hq (Somerset), and on the streets of Orchard, Somerset, City Hall, Esplanade on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th of July (from 11am to 6pm - check the DREAM ON website for updates).

The album features 13 tracks and is priced at 15 bucks (all proceeds go directly to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund).

"DREAM ON"@DXO

There will be a concert at DXO on 22 July (Sat) to showcase the "DREAM ON" charity album. Quite a few bands are scheduled to perform including Plain Sunset, Dancing Nancies and Backspace - so come on down and lend your support  to a good cause.

We've just donated a song to the "DREAM ON" charity cd. “DREAM ON” is a project supported by Young ChangeMakers' Grant and Citibank-YMCA Youth For Causes.

Backspace will be talking to Eugene Loh of 93.8LIVE on 3rd July (Monday) between 1:45 - 2:00 pm. The band will also be playing a short acoustic rendition in the studio so keep your ears peeled!
